Blue Gingham.

Just a little frolicking around a wharf on a beautifully warm day during some down time from the 13 Rooms exhibition.

I am obsessed with gingham so it goes without saying that this little number from the shop of Miss Fancy Fine is perfection...

13 rooms.

I thought I would tell you a little bit about a project I have been involved with in the last couple of weeks. It is a project by John Kaldor and is an exhibition of performance art from leading international artists. I am lucky enough to be one of the performers in a work by John Baldessari, which involves painting a room a new colour every day using only a brush. Other artist's involved in the show include Damien Hirst, Marina Abramovic, Tino Sehgal and many other incredibly talented people!

The experience has been fantastic and although it is pretty tiring and uncomfortable painting the walls, floor and ceiling everyday, I have been having a wonderful time. It is really a very exciting exhibition and I would recommend anyone who is in Sydney to pop round to pier 2/3 in Walsh Bay before it closes on Sunday!

Rehearsal day 1..

The magical work of Xu Zhen..

The old industrial pier makes an unusual and marvellous setting for such works.

It is amazing how much the atmosphere of the room changes from day to day with the new colour.

Alley Treasure's

One thing I have learnt as an art student is that some of the most interesting, innovative work can be found in the most tiny and unlikely of spaces. This day was spent trotting round just some of these places. This particular gallery is in an old garage tucked away in a hidden alley and featured an exhibition of a teacher of mine, Oliver Watts.

Although this was an unbearably humid day, I now find myself longing for the heat. Here in Sydney we have been greeted by torrential rain which makes it difficult to go out unless you fancy being drenched head to toe. Well for me, that means being curled up on my rocking chair, drinking tea and catching up on some wonderful blogs. Sadly for my bank account, it has also meant a few new treasures from Etsy will be arriving on my doorstep in a couple of weeks..

This Bag. Incredible. Enough Said.
